This site is a free, static set of chemistry calculation and experimental-data tools for high-school and introductory university study.

Level labels

SL/HL labels are based on the current IB Chemistry guide where practical. A label does not mean a calculator covers every assessment nuance of that topic, and students should follow their own teacher’s conventions and data booklet.

Uncertainty

The uncertainty calculator uses the current course-level rules: absolute uncertainties add for addition/subtraction; percentage uncertainties add for multiplication/division; raising to a power is marked HL-only for Chemistry. These linear rules are not a full statistical covariance model.

Regression

The calibration tool uses ordinary least squares with concentration treated as x. R² describes fit to the chosen linear model. It does not establish causation, chemical validity, absence of systematic error or appropriateness of extrapolation.

Numerical limits

The browser uses standard JavaScript floating-point arithmetic. Intermediate calculations retain more digits than normally displayed. Keep units consistent and use the worked steps to check the model, not just the numerical output.
